KING sharpening stones are designed for sharpening tools from carving chisels, planes to kitchen knives using water. With this stone, you can easily create a fine sharpening paste for greater efficiency in polishing. The #6000 grit for perfect sharpness – thanks to such a fine stone, you can even sharpen a very fine needle-point on the edge of the blade.
This is a type of absorbent stone with extra fine synthetic grain that sharpens even with a small amount of water. Just sprinkle with water before use to achieve a smooth surface during sharpening.

Which grit to choose?
For sharpening really blunt or uneven blades, use stones with a low JIS number (Japanese classification for grit). The lower the number, the coarser the stone. Stones with a high JIS number are intended for final and fine grinding or smoothing.
